Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
You are bound to have questions about Permanent Makeup, in this FAQ section, we have covered our most frequently asked but please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions.

Does it hurt ?
It is completely normal to feel anxious about the procedures. We use a range of topical anaesthetics to ensure that you are as relaxed as possible during the treatment and that any discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum. Most clients describe the sensation as ‘tingling vibrations’ rather than pain and many fall asleep during the procedure.

Who can have the treatment ?
We can treat anyone over the age of 18 that does not have any medical contraindications. Pregancy, breastfeeding and other medical conditions may prevent you from having permanent makeup, if you are unsure whether you are suitable then please do get in touch with us to discuss.
Is it permanent ?
The pigment will affect everyone differently depending on skin tone, sun exposure, lifestyle and medication.
Pigment can often be permanent especially on areas where the skin is the thinnest such as eyeliner and lips.
How long does it take ?
Procedures vary in length and can range from between 90 minutes to 2 hours, this will allow for a local anaesthetic to be applied, the shape to be designed and for your permanent makeup to be applied.
What can I expect before the treatment ?
We would like you to avoid any retinols in the area, do not have Botox/fillers for 4 weeks before. If you suffer from cold sores then please take antivirals before any lip blush treatments and keep the lips well moisturised.
Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior to your appointment
Please stop using brow and lash serums for 3 months prior to treatment.
What can I expect after the treatment ?
Following the treatment you make experience some redness and swelling, the skin may flake from around day 4 – this can be minimised by applying the aftercare balm. The pigment will appear darker and more defined on the day of the treatment and will reduce by up to 60% once the skin has completely healed. We recommend attending the control visit (between 4-12 weeks post treatment) to assess how the pigment has settled and any touch ups that are required.
