Borciani London are specialists in a range of cosmetic and medical permanent makeup options which can beautifully enhance your look – from microblading hair stroke brows to stunning eyeliner and flattering lip blushes. Don’t worry if you’re not sure which option is right for you, our experienced practitioners are on hand to help you decide.

Permanent Makeup is often an essential treatment if you suffer from hair loss or are self-conscious about certain areas. If you want to lose the pencils, powders and pomades and no longer have to worry about makeup wiping or melting off then this is the prefect option for you. We specialise in extremely natural results, enhancing your features without a heavy, obvious look. Each treatment will start with an in-depth consultation and we pre-draw everything to make sure you are comfortable with the expected results.

Permanent Makeup Treatments

Microblading

This is our most popular treatment, whether your brows are sparse, over plucked or simply in need of definition, microblading can transform your look. We use a microblade and custom blended pigments to create the most flattering brow shape for you face with individual hair strokes that look just like your own hair.

Permanent Eyeliner

This is a must have for anyone who wishes to define their eyes – we have a range of options from a discreet lash liner to a stronger evening look to suit every face. Perfect if you suffer from allergies, wear contact lenses or simply aren’t great at applying eyeliner.

Permanent Makeup Removal

Over the last decade, permanent makeup has become extremely popular and widely available, when done well the results are often very flattering.  Unfortunately, due to bad technique and colour choice, there is the need to remove this work, we use a lactic acid removal system which is effective whilst protecting the skin and preventing scarring.

Ombre/ Powder Eyebrows

Our Powder brow is a little different to the hair stroke option and gives you the look of a pencilled brow rather than a hair stroke.  This can be a good option if you are looking for either a more defined sharp outline (ombre) or a soft wash of colour across the brow.  We use a machine similar to a tattoo machine to implant the pigment in thin veils of colour until the right intensity is reached.  This can be an excellent option those with thinner skin.

Permanent Lipstick

Our 3D lip blush technique is the go to choice for anyone looking for fuller, more youthful lips.  We custom blend a beautifully flattering shade and lightly implant this into the lip, the result is a stunning wash of colour across the lips, more of a lip stain than a lipstick.

Commonly Asked Questions

What is the difference between Permanent Makeup and Semi Permanent Makeup?

The simple answer is……… not a thing – we used to refer to this treatment as semi permanent makeup as the results are not truly permanent as with a normal tattoo,  however, as some pigment is likely to remain in the skin (whether you can see it or not) we now call this Permanent Makeup. Other terms that you may hear are:

  • Permanent Makeup
  • Semi Permanent Makeup
  • Micropigmentation
  • Cosmetic Tattoo
  • SPMU
  • PMU
  • Makeup Tattoo

These all refer to the same treatment whether we are treating brows, lips, eyes or medical procedures such as areola pigmentation, scar camouflage or scalp pigmentation.

Is Permanent Makeup really permanent?

Easily our most frequently asked question! This really is the most difficult question to answer as there are so many variables such as – the technician, the clients skin type and health, the pigments that were used and depth of the work, exposure to sunlight, medications etc etc etc.   The easiest answer that will be applicable to most clients is that we expect most treatments to last somewhere between 12-36 months and recommend a maintenance session at around  12 months for microblading and 15-18 months for all other procedures to keep the colour fresh.

Is PMU a tattoo? PMU is not a traditional tattoo although we use a very similar technique to implant the colour, we work at a different depth in the skin and use pigments rather than inks, these factors all play a large part in how ‘permanent’ the treatment will be.

Does it hurt ?

It is completely normal to feel anxious about the procedures. We use a range of topical anaesthetics to ensure that you are as relaxed as possible during the treatment and that any discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum. Most clients describe the sensation as ‘tingling vibrations’ rather than pain and many fall asleep during the procedure.
