Eye Rejuventation Specialists London

The delicate skin around the eyes is often the first area to show signs of ageing and fatigue, making eye rejuvenation a top beauty concern. Common issues include:

  • Crow’s Feet: Fine lines and wrinkles at the corners of the eyes significantly age the face.
  • Eye Bags: These can create a permanently tired look.
  • Drooping and Crepey Eyelids: They can make the eyes appear smaller and less alert.
  • Dark Circles: Often caused by genetics, lack of sleep, or thinning skin, these lead to a shadowy, fatigued appearance.

Why Eye Rejuvenation is Key

The eyes play a central role in facial appearance and expression, often being described as the “windows to the soul.” They are one of the first features people notice, making them crucial for communication, emotion, and aesthetic harmony. However, because the skin around the eyes is delicate and prone to ageing, they are also one of the first areas to show visible signs of ageing. Here’s why the eyes are so important and why they age:

  • The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the body, making it more vulnerable to damage from environmental factors like UV rays and pollution. With age, this delicate skin loses elasticity and becomes more prone to fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.
  • Collagen and elastin are the proteins that give skin its structure and elasticity. As we age, the production of these proteins decreases, leading to the thinning and wrinkling of the skin around the eyes.
  • The eyes are in constant motion—blinking, squinting, and expressing emotion. This repetitive motion leads to the formation of fine lines and crow’s feet, particularly in the outer corners of the eyes.
  • Over time, the fat pads around the eyes can diminish, leading to hollowing or the appearance of sunken eyes. The loss of volume also contributes to dark circles and makes the eyes look tired or aged.
  • The muscles around the eyes, which support the skin and fat, weaken with age. This results in drooping eyelids, bags under the eyes, and a generally tired appearance.
  • UV rays break down collagen and elastin, accelerating the ageing process around the eyes. Sun damage also leads to pigmentation issues, such as dark circles or uneven skin tone around the eyes.
  • The eye area has fewer oil glands compared to other areas of the face, making it prone to dryness. This lack of natural moisture exacerbates fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Genetics play a significant role in how the skin ages, particularly around the eyes. Some people may be genetically predisposed to developing dark circles, puffiness, or drooping eyelids earlier than others.
  • Poor sleep, stress, smoking, and an unhealthy diet can all speed up the ageing process. Lack of sleep, in particular, contributes to puffiness, dark circles, and a tired appearance around the eyes.
  • Free radicals, which are unstable molecules generated by factors such as pollution and UV exposure, damage the skin cells around the eyes. This oxidative stress accelerates the ageing process, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin.

Polynucleotides – Total Eye Rejuvenation

Polynucleotides have become essential in rejuvenating and repairing skin and especially useful around the eyes which have been difficult to treat in the past.  Dermal fillers are useful in some cases but can often be incorectly placed or used in the wrong candidates.

Polynucletodes and PRF are a welcomed addition as they do not create false volume but rather restore the tissue.

So what are these wonder compunds? Polynucleotides are DNA fragments that start a a healing and rejuvenation cascade within your skin.  They target all signs of ageing and are really useful around the eyes to restore, rejuvenate and brighten dark circles without dermal filler.

  • Reduction of Dark Circles and Wrinkles: Especially effective for the delicate under-eye area, polynucleotides help minimise shadows and smooth out fine lines.
  • Enhanced Skin Elasticity: Polynucleotides boost the production of collagen and elastin, vital proteins that maintain the skin’s firmness and resilience.
  • Deep Hydration: These molecules attract and retain moisture, giving your skin a dewy, refreshed look.
  • Improved Skin Texture: Regular treatments can significantly enhance skin smoothness and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
  • Signs of Ageing: wrinkles, fine lines, crepey skin, and sun damage.

I’m not sure which treatment would be right for me

We appreciate that it can be overwhelming with so many treatments out there to know which would best suit you.

For this reason , we have created the Custom Facial

You simply let us know what your concerns are, what downtime you can tolerate and a little about your lifestyle and we will recommend a treatment that fits within your goals

Unlike standard facials, our custom prescriptive facial begins with an in-depth skin analysis, we want to understand your primary skin concerns and goals, what treatments you have previously had and your skincare regime. We will then look at lifestyle factors along with potential sun exposure, medical conditions and medications that may affect the treatment.

We then recommend a treatment protocol to give you the most effective results within your downtime allocation, timeframe and budgets including a homecare regime if appropriate. We will have time to perform the treatment on the day.

We follow up with aftercare and our recommendation for future treatments

Our Eye Treatments in detail

Wrinkle Relaxing

Our dermatologist provides anti wrinkle injections for Borciani London.

These  are used around the eye to smooth crows feet, lift the brow to open the eyes and reduce the glabella lines (the lines between your eyes).

We specialise in vey natural results that flatter and refresh the eye area.

Dark Circles

Dark circles under the eyes are a common concern, affecting individuals of all ages and skin types. These under-eye shadows can give a tired, aged appearance, and can impact self-esteem and confidence.  They can be a result of genetics, thinning skin, pigmentation or health issues

We have a few excellent options to tackle this area:

  • Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an effective treatment for dark circles as it uses a patient’s own blood to promote natural healing. PRF boosts collagen, which thickens the skin under the eyes, making the dark circles less visible. It improves skin quality and provides lasting results with minimal risk and downtime. This makes PRF a comprehensive and safe choice for those looking to refresh their appearance and reduce dark circles.
  • Carboxytherapy involves the injection of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas into the skin, The body perceives this as an oxygen deficit and increases blood flow to the area.. Excellent for sluggish, dark under eyes with a tendency to swell.

  • Polynucleotdies – Please see above

Crows Feet

Crow’s feet, the fine lines and wrinkles that radiate from the corners of the eyes, are primarily caused by the natural aging process. As we age, our skin loses collagen and elastin, proteins that provide skin with firmness and elasticity. This loss makes the skin more prone to wrinkling, especially in areas used to squint or smile. Prolonged sun exposure and smoking can accelerate collagen breakdown, exacerbating the appearance of crow’s feet.

Polynucleotides and Exosomes are very effective at reducing lines around the eyes, please see above.

CO2 laser treatment is an effective solution for reducing under-eye bags, offering precise skin resurfacing that tightens sagging skin and stimulates collagen production. This advanced technique enhances skin texture by smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines, providing noticeable rejuvenation around the eyes,  the procedure’s targeted approach allows for significant improvements in eye bag appearance.

Anti Wrinkle Therapy – These wrinkle relaxing treatments are performed by our resident Dermatologist, please see more on the separate tab or under dermatology

Mesotherapy is a versatile treatment for crow’s feet, using microinjections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten the skin around the eyes. This technique targets the underlying causes of skin aging by delivering potent blends of powerful compunds into the skin, enhancing the skin’s elasticity and making it appear smoother and plumper. It reduces fine lines, dark circles and dehydrated skin.

CO2 Eye Tightening

The skin on our eyelids is very thin so does not respond well to other treatments or creams, dermal fillers and wrinkle reducing injections cannot be used in this area.

As we get older, the skin becomes saggy and crepey in appearance, which can age us prematurely and cause makeup to crease and be very difficult to apply.

We have 2 excellent options for tackling the skin on the lower and upper eyelids, we use CO2 laser to ablate the skin and immediately tighten the area, this is a great option for upper and lower lids and crows feet.

The Plasma Fibroblast treatment is also extremely effective at removing the skin from above and below the eyes, it works in a similar way to the CO2 laser but using different technology and with a longer downtime

Eye Bags

Eye bags, or under-eye bags, are a common cosmetic concern that can make you look tired or older than you are. Often caused by factors like aging, genetics, and lifestyle choices, eye bags appear as swelling or puffiness under the eyes.  These bags can be caused by fluid, fatty deposits or the skin simply ageing.

Derma Eye contains a comprehensive blend of  Amino Acids and Peptides including Acetyl Hexapeptide-30 and natural extracts such as Artichoke Extract and Aescin to create a tightening and drainage effect under the eye, this powerful cocktail reduces bags, tightens skin and brightens the under eye area.

Carboxytherapy – Injecting CO2 gas under the skin triggers a response in the body to increase oxygen flow to the area. This enhanced blood circulation can help reduce the swelling and dark colouring associated with under-eye bags.
