Stretch Marks.

Our stretch mark removal treatment removes unwanted stretch marks. A staggering 80% of women will be affected during pregnancy alone, usually within the last trimester.

Stretch marks rarely discriminate and affect people of all shapes, sizes, age and ethnicity.

  • 70% of women experience stretch marks during puberty
  • 40% of men experience stretch marks during puberty
  • 60% of people will develop stretch marks through weight gain (including body builders)

Stretch Mark prone areas

The most affected areas are the abdomen, buttocks, breasts and thighs, however stretch marks can also appear on the arms, back and pectorals. Stretch marks can also be a sign of an underlying condition such as Cushings or Marfan syndrome.

Stretch Mark Removal Treatment

Previously, stretch marks were extremely difficult to treat and stretch mark removal was almost impossible. The only options were ineffective creams that made little or no difference once the stretch mark had appeared.

The great news is that recent innovations mean we can reduce both old and new stretch marks.  There are currently 2 types of treatment we can recommend.   Collagen Induction Therapy is the use of small microneedles and potent pharmaceuticals, stretch marks can be dramatically reduced on all areas of the body and on all skin types.

PRX T-33 is a Bio revitaliser which can be used directly in the stretch mark to create ‘new skin’ targeting both the epidermis and dermis.  On very stubborn stretch marks, we may use a combination of these therapies.

Types of Stretch Mark Removal

Depending on the age and severity of the stretch mark, we will recommend the best treatment for you. Digital and manual skin needling has proven to be extremely successful in reducing and removing stretch marks on all areas of the body.

Micro needles trigger a healing response in the skin causing the body to create collagen and elastin which repair the tears in the dermal layer. As the skin regenerates, the stretch marks will be replaced with more healthy skin and less scar tissue. Afterwards, the skin will look red and raised in the treatment area for 24-48 hours, over the following week you may develop a light scabbing across the treatment site.

In some cases you may develop Post Traumatic Hyperpigmentation, this is where the treated skin appears darker – this is completely normal and will fade over the following months as the skin heals

PRX T-33 is a great ‘needle free’ option, the potent blend is applied with a rubber spatula directly to the stretch mark in layers until the skin responds and the stretch mark starts to raise up.  This treatment is painless and you can resume normal activities directly afterwards.

Microneedling

Microneeding is a really effective treatment for stretch marks.  A small needle is used to create microchannels in the skin which promote and accelerate growth of collagen and elastin.  This is how the skin will look directly afterwards, the redness will take a couple of days to return to normal and you may experience some light scabbing.

Please don’t hesitate to not go here … 100% perfect .

Does it hurt ?

It is completely normal to feel anxious about the procedures. We use a range of topical anaesthetics to ensure that you are as relaxed as possible during the treatment and that any discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum. Most clients describe the sensation as ‘tingling vibrations’ rather than pain and many fall asleep during the procedure.
