How does it work?
Wrinkle relaxing injections have become extremely popular in the last decade both in younger and older clients. They work by ‘relaxing’ the muscle that is creating wrinkles such as those around the eyes or forehead which results in a smoother skin surface and prevents any future wrinkles from occurring.
A tiny needle is used to inject into the muscles, blocking or reducing the signals that the nerves send to the muscles, this relaxes and and softens the overall facial appearance. This technique is used to minimise crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, frown lines and neck bands.
This particular collagen boosting facial takes 20 minutes and as a result can offer the perfect pick me up before any special event.
How long does it last ?
After a wrinkle relaxing treatment you need to allow 7-14 days for the results to fully develop and which point your practitioner will often see you for a check-up. Results vary between patients as everyone metabolises the product at different rates but tend to last 3-6 months before a top up is required.

Commonly Asked Questions
Are there side effects?
Side effects associated with Botox are some minor bruising and swelling at the injection site and headaches.
Is it painful?
Your practitioner will work with you to reduce any discomfort, the needles used are very thin and therefore far less painful than fillers or other injections.
The sensation is like a small scratch which subsides quickly following the treatment.
Exercising after treatment
To enhance the effects of a Botox treatment it’s recommended that you avoid any form of strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after the clinic visit. Physical activities like yoga and Pilates that often involve inversion (where your head is lower than your heart) is best avoided for a couple of days to prevent the Botox from migrating, as it helps to stop Botox migration into other areas of the skin.
Drinking alcohol after treatment
When having any form of cosmetic treatment, it’s recommended that you abstain from drinking any alcohol for at least 24 hours, before and after treatment, as it can increase the chance of bruising.

Does it hurt ?
It is completely normal to feel anxious about the procedures. We use a range of topical anaesthetics to ensure that you are as relaxed as possible during the treatment and that any discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum. Most clients describe the sensation as ‘tingling vibrations’ rather than pain and many fall asleep during the procedure.
